Superior Rooms

Experience an oasis of comfort in a Superior Room, which features 300 square feet of elegant space and is available with one king, one queen or two queen beds (subject to availability). Recently renovated bathrooms feature either a large glass shower or deep soaker tub with separate shower.

Located between the second and fifth floors, Superior Rooms do not offer harbour views, but some may have glimpses of the harbour. Wheelchair access is available.

Deluxe Corner Rooms

Bright and spacious with two walls with windows, there’s plenty of room to relax in 350 square feet. Recently renovated bathrooms feature a deep soaker tub and separate glass shower. Most offer one king bed, with limited availability for two queen beds.

Signature Corner Room

Pick a Signature Corner Room for postcard views of the Central Dunedin Parliament Buildings and Inner Harbour Causeway area.Scenic Bay Hotel’s largest rooms at 395 square feet feature a king bed and two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautifully updated bathroom with a deep soaker tub and separate glass shower.

Diamond Room,
City Side

Situated on the top two floors, Diamond Rooms feature gas fireplaces. Beautiful updated bathrooms include either a large glass shower, or a deep soaker tub with separate glass shower. Most Diamond City Rooms offer one king bed. Seventh floor rooms also feature over-height 10 ft ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Enjoy a romantic gas fireplace in a Diamond Room, located on the top two floors, perfect for snuggling up and 350 square feet. Beautifully updated bathrooms feature a deep soaker tub and separate glass shower.   Rooms on the seventh floor feature over-height 10 ft ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Signature Diamond Room, Legislative View

Signature Diamond Rooms offer the very finest vistas with postcard views of the Central Dunedin Legislative Assembly and Harbour Causeway area from the hotel’s top two floors. Covering approximately 400 square feet, these bright and spacious  rooms include a king bed, cozy gas fireplace and beautifully updated bathrooms with deep soaker tub and separate glass shower. Please contact the hotel directly by phone for rates and availability as these rooms are in very limited supply.

Scenic Bay Hotel Pet Policy

We accept one or two dogs per room. For hygienic reasons, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, etc. are not accepted. Each four-legged guest will receive creature comforts such as a dog bed, water bowl, and food dish. A Pet Fee of $60 per stay will be added to the bill to ensure the room receives a deep clean upon departure.

We have a limited number of dog friendly rooms, so please call in advance to confirm availability. A signed Pet Waiver is required at check-in. We request that dogs are kept on a leash while in the hotel. If you need to leave your dog in the room, please secure him or her in a mobile crate and provide your cellphone number to the front desk so we can contact you if your pooch becomes distressed while you are out.

We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous or unacceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, biting, excessive noise (such as barking), evidence of disease, or urination/defecation in public areas. No more than two (2) pets may occupy a guestroom. Each guest is responsible for all charges that relate to the removal of his / her pet, including but not limited to transportation and kennel charges.
